Mrs. Barr is honored to serve as the Principal of Concord Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year. A proud graduate of Lander University, she earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She furthered her education at Anderson University, where she completed a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision in 2016.
Mrs. Barr brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success. She began her educational career as a fifth-grade teacher and later served as an Instructional Facilitator and Assistant Principal at Nevitt Forest Elementary. In January 2021, she joined Varennes Elementary School, where she served as Principal for four years. During her time there, she was known for her dedication to building strong relationships, promoting academic excellence, and fostering a positive school culture.
A highlight of Mrs. Barr’s career was being named Anderson School District Five's District Teacher of the Year for the 2016–2017 school year—an honor that reflects her passion and effectiveness as an educator.
Mrs. Barr shares, “Working as an educator has been a dream come true, and I am thankful I can fulfill this dream every day.”
Outside of school, Mrs. Barr enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Joseph, their son, Jaxon, and their dog, Cinnamon. In her spare time, she loves cooking, dancing, crafting, and making memories with family and friends.
Mr. Rash, Assistant Principal

Mr. Rash brings 14 years of dedicated experience in Anderson School District Five to his role at Concord Elementary School. He began his educational journey teaching 4th grade at Midway Elementary School for 6 years before moving to Homeland Park Primary School, where he taught 2nd grade for two years. Mr. Rash then spent six years serving as the assistant principal at North Pointe Elementary School, which was named a Palmetto’s Finest School during the 2023-2024 school year. Now, in his first year at Concord Elementary, Mr. Rash is excited to join the school community and is committed to continuing Concord’s proud tradition of excellence.
